Jamaica on Saturday recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 128,179.
There were two additional deaths, increasing the figure to 2,827. Four deaths are under investigation. However, the number of deaths under investigation remains at 415. No deaths were coincidental.
The deceased are:
- A 91-year-old woman from Westmoreland
- A 75-year-old woman from St Catherine
The deaths occurred between February and March 2022.
The positivity rate decreased from 4.4 per cent to 3.1 per cent. The total number of tests: 424.
Of the 13 new cases, St Catherine accounted for the highest number with 4.
Kingston and St Andrew and Clarendon in the meantime, both accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 3 each; Hanover, St James and St Mary followed with 1 each. Manchester, Portland, St Ann, Westmoreland, St Elizabeth, St Thomas and Trelawny recorded no new cases.
