Jamaica on Friday recorded 24 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 128,166.

There were no additional deaths. However, one death is under investigation. The number of deaths under investigation has decreased to 415.

The positivity rate decreased from 5 per cent to 4.4 per cent. The total number of tests: 2,070.

Of the 24 new cases, St James accounted for the highest number with 11.

Kingston and St Andrew in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 5; St Catherine and Clarendon followed with 2 each; Hanover, Portland, St Ann and Westmoreland with 1 each. Manchester, St Elizabeth, St Thomas, St Mary and Trelawny recorded no new cases.
