Jamaica on Wednesday recorded 29 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 128,108.

There was one additional death, an 88-year-old man from St Thomas. This increased the number of deaths to 2,815. Four deaths are under investigation, increasing the number to 420. There were no coincidental deaths.

The positivity rate increased from 1.6 per cent to 4.6 per cent. The total number of tests: 1,647.

Of the 29 new cases, Kingston and St Andrew accounted for the highest number with 6.

St Elizabeth in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 4; Manchester, St Catherine and St James followed with 3 each; St Ann and Westmoreland with 2 each; Clarendon, Portland, Hanover, St Mary, St Thomas and Trelawny with 1 each.
