Jamaica on Sunday recorded 34 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 128,213.
There were three additional deaths, increasing the figure to 2,830. There are no deaths under investigation, nor coincidental deaths.
The deceased are:
- An 86-year-old man from Westmoreland
- A 91-year-old man from Westmoreland
- A 73-year-old woman from Westmoreland
The deaths occurred between July and November 2021.
The positivity rate increased from 3.1 per cent to 3.3 per cent. The total number of tests: 5,408.
Of the 34 new cases, St James accounted for the highest number with 7.
St Ann in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 6; St Catherine followed with 5. Manchester and Westmoreland with 3 each; Portland, St Elizabeth and St Mary with 2 each; Hanover, Kingston and St Andrew, St Thomas and Trelawny with 1 each. Clarendon recorded no new cases.
