Jamaica on Friday recorded 60 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 127,916.

There was one additional death, a 93-year-old man from St Elizabeth. This increased the number of deaths to 2,811. One death is under investigation, increasing the number of deaths under investigation to 415. There were no coincidental deaths.

The positivity rate decreased from 8 per cent to 6.1 per cent. The total number of tests: 2,100.

Of the 60 new cases, St James accounted for the highest number with 22.

Clarendon in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 8; Westmoreland followed with 7; St Catherine and Kingston and St Andrew with 5 each; Portland, St Elizabeth and St Thomas with 3 each; Manchester with 2; Hanover and Trelawny with 1 each. St Mary and St Ann recorded no new cases.
