11-year-old Chinese skateboarder Zheng Haohao would undoubtedly be inspiring several generations as the youngest competitor at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
It’s understood that Zheng, who took up the sport four years ago, will become China’s youngest-ever athlete to compete in an Olympic Games.
In an interview with Reuters before her Paris arrival, the skater described her entry into the competition as a “get together with my good friends.“
“I know over 10 of the world’s top 20 skateboarders. It’s like we are playing a fun game – everyone has to show the best they’ve got,” she added.
It’s the second Olympics for the extreme sport’s inclusion, following its official debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which included 12-year-old Thai athlete Vareeraya Sukasem.
