Jamaica on Monday recorded 18 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 91,554.

There was 1 additional death, an 84-year-old man from St Ann. This increased the figure to 2,411. One death is under investigation, increasing the number of deaths under investigation to 344. There were no coincidental deaths.

The positivity rate decreased from 6.3 per cent to 3.6 per cent. Number of tests: 530.

Of the 18 new cases, St Thomas accounted for the highest number with 4.

Hanover, St Catherine, and St James, in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 4 each; Westmoreland followed with 2; Kingston and St Andrew, Manchester, Trelawny with 1 each. Portland, Clarendon, St Ann, St Elizabeth and St Mary recorded no new cases.
