Over 5000 cases of the Capri sun Wild Cherry flavor has been recalled amid concerns of a cleaning solution contamination. The issue was first discovered last Friday after consumers started complaining about the taste of the affected Wild Cherry Capri Suns.

The company outlined in a statement that the diluted cleaning solution, which is used on food processing equipment, was inadvertently introduced into a production line at one of its factories.

Meanwhile, the company also outlined that increased efforts are being made by retail partners and distributors to remove the potentially impacted product from circulation.

In the interim, consumers are being asked to return the items in question to the store where it was purchased and make contact with the company at 1-800-280-8252 to see if a product is part of the recall and to receive reimbursement.
