Rapper Kanye West has reportedly purchased a US$4.5 million house practically next door to his estranged wife Kim Kardashian.

According to Cosmopolitan, the rapper splurged on the 3,651 square foot, five bedroom house in Hidden Hills, Los Angeles to be closer to his estranged wife and children.

According to Mail Online, Kanye even paid US$421,000 over the asking price to make sure that he wasn’t outbid.

The stately manor was constructed in 1955 and features 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a guest studio along with another room and bathroom next to the garage.

The house also features wall-to-wall carpeting and an 80s themed atmosphere.

Additionally, the equestrian ranch spans just over a flat acre of land and also includes horse stables and a very dated interior.

Though the property is dated, it appears to be well maintained as the front lawn was recently replaced with drought-resistant AstroTurf and the existing kitchen which was remodeled in 2005 includes a spacious island, granite countertops, generic-looking white oven complemented with a white dishwasher.
