The National Commercial Bank (NCB) has pointed out that adjustments will be made to its banking services fee, amid the public outcry to push back against its decision to increase fees for certain transactions.

Customers will now be able to cash checks under $15,000 without paying a cent, and an extension on the point of sales machine for Quick Save customers will also be granted.

Meanwhile, withdrawal fees for NCB ATMs remain at $30.95, while withdrawals from non NCB ATMs will cost the bank’s customers $60.

NCB has also noted that while the increases have not been rolled back, other tweaks have been made.

“We believe we took into account the plight of our customers and we reflected that in how we structured the fees we revised, and the ones that were reinstated,” Sheree Martin, Head of Retail Banking and Customer Experience at NCB noted.

“Having said that, however, we also hear the plight of the public and the response that we have had since the fees were charged and so we’ve made further amendments,” Martin added.

Martin further noted that the ATM withdrawal fees have been structured so that the current account users will get more free withdrawals.
