German Bundesliga giant Borussia Dortmund, were left stunned by Scottish Premier League champions Rangers, after going down 4-2 in their Champions League first leg in Scotland.
The Rangers, who were playing at home, completely ‘policed’ the first half of the fixture, netting two unanswered goals to courtesy of a James Tavernier penalty along with an Alfredo Morelos tap-in completed an opening stanza.
The punishment continued for a beleaguered looking Dortmund as a third Rangers goal in minute saw shoulders dropped for the Bundesliga outfit. However, midfielder Jude Bellingham, gave the Germans respite in the 51st, cutting the deficit to two.
Dortmund however, seemed to be the architect of their own demise following an own goal three minutes later.
Raphaël Guerreiro’s late strike in minute 82 made the score line less scathing as they travel to Germany for the second leg.
