Jamaica on Saturday recorded 45 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 127,961.
There were two additional deaths, increasing the figure to 2,813. There were no deaths under investigation nor coincidental deaths.
The deceased are:
- An 82-year-old woman from St Catherine
- A 67-year-old man from St Catherine
The positivity rate decreased from 6.1 per cent to 4.7 per cent. The total number of tests: 2,504.
Of the 45 new cases, St Catherine accounted for the highest number with 11.
St James in the meantime, accounted for the second-highest number of cases with 10; Clarendon followed with 7; Kingston and St Andrew with 6; Hanover and Westmoreland with 3 each; Manchester with 2; Portland, St Mary and Trelawny with 1 each. St Elizabeth, St Thomas and St Ann recorded no new cases.
