Rapper ASAP Rocky was reportedly released within a few hours of being arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation to a November 6 shooting in Hollywood on Wednesday.

Rocky, who was returning from vacation in Barbados with girlfriend Rihanna, was taken into custody at the LAX airport moments after departing a private jet at the facility.

According to reports the ‘Praise the lord’ rapper was interviewed at the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division before being booked at the Metropolitan Detention Center. Rocky was released at 3:27 p.m. after posting $550,000 bail.

An August 17 court date has been scheduled for Rocky at the LAX Superior Courthouse.

Reports from the LAPD asserts that: An argument between two acquaintances occurred” in the Hollywood area “The argument escalated and resulted in the suspect firing a handgun at the victim.”

“The victim sustained a minor injury from the incident and later sought medical treatment. Following the shooting, the suspect and two additional males fled the area on foot.”

The victim, reportedly identified Rocky as one of the three men present during the altercation and allegedly fired at him before fleeing the area.
