May release date for Skillibeng’s ‘Mr. Universe’ EP

International dancehall sensation Skillibeng announced a May 12 release for his highly anticipated Mr. Universe EP on Monday.

The reveal was made via his Instagram account, where he shared a mini highlight reel of his tour success as well as fan and celebrity reactions to his music.

The ‘Crocodile Teeth’ hitmaker who is due to make his debut in the states later this month has been on a musical wave of success and attention in the past two months. Including remixes for his viral hit ‘Whap Whap’ from NBA Yong Boy and Fivio Foreign dropping last week to much fanfare.

Paired with a Successful UK tour where he had fully packed the O2 arena almost in a choir-like manner reciting his songs has only generated his massive anticipation for his fifth project.

He previously released ‘Crocodile teeth’ LP in 2021, despite not making as much impact on the Billboards Album charts as fans would have expected, was met with mainly positive feedback musically.

His other works include 2019’s Prodigy EP, 2020’s The Prodigy, followed by 2021’s The Prodigy: Ladies only edition to close out the series, before dropping his ‘Crocodile teeth’ later that year.

Now signed to a major record label RCA records, he’s expected to fare much better as they continue to build on the hype around the artiste ‘Brik by Brick’ as he potentially works towards a breakthrough album.
