Following a long-drawn-out saga Leeds United Striker Raphina will now be on his way to Barcelona after both clubs reached an agreement on his transfer fee on Tuesday.
According to reports, Barcelona has agreed to acquire the Brazilian forward for €68 million including add-ons to outbid London club Chelsea for his services.
The fee reportedly comprises of a fixed sum of €58 million, with approximately €10 million in add-ons to raise the total value of the deal which will be around €68 million, bringing an end to the transfer triangle between Chelsea, Barca and Leeds.
Last week it was reported that Leeds had accepted a Chelsea offer of over a €75 million for the striker however due to Raphina’s insistence of going to La Liga, it meant the deal was stalled as the Catalans quickly submitted an improved package for the forward.
Despite having a superior offer from Chelsea and of late Arsenal, they were forced to take up Barca’s offer due to the striker preference of only wanting to go to Barcelona for his next move.
The deal is said to be a five-year contract which will see the 25-year old play for the Catalans until at least 2027.
