Cali Reggae band Stick Figure uses ‘Wisdom’ to snap Marely’s record atop Billboard

California Reggae Band Stick Figure has become the first group to break Bob Marley’s 2-year reign atop the Billboard Reggae album chart with their latest releaseWisdom‘.

According to reports Bob Marley’s Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers had held the No. 1 spot in album sales in excess of two and a half years as per the Billboard Charts.

However, reports assert the sticking point of recent projections for the Reggae chart, reflects the Cali-reggae group using ‘Wisdom’ to overtake the king of charts with their album of the same name.

The band which was said to have officially been formed in 2006 has the No. 1 album on the iTunes Reggae Albums chart after, two weeks following its release.

The relatively ‘unknown’ band has however enjoyed previous chart success with their previous albums which were among the top 10 releases on iTunes such as Burial Ground World on Fire and Set in Stone.

Stick Figure to their social media page to share the news with their fans on Monday.

“Thank you to everyone who’s been listening to Wisdom! It’s been a week since the release and the feedback has been incredible. It’s the best feeling in the world to release new music, and I really appreciate all the love and support from everyone ” the post summed.

The band is said to have earned the equivalence of 34,000 in overall sales since its release with over 9,600 in pure album purchases.
