Schoolboy football juggernauts Kingston College (KC) and Jamaica College (JC) will be among the headliners in the champions Cup competition when it kicks off on Saturday.
Two-time Champions Cup winners KC, will open their campaign in pursuit for a third title when they face Central high at Sabina Park.
The reigning Manning Cup champs who has been impressive thus far in their domestic competition which has seen them advance as one of the top semi-final qualifiers will be looking to secure another top last-four spot on the day.
JC who have also verified expectations to secure a top-four spot in the Manning Cup will likewise be eyeing progression in the Champions Cup when they tackle last season’s D-Cup finalist Mannings High.
The Dark Blues will enter as slight favorites however Mannings who have shown quality to again this season is however expected to make the fixture an exciting encounter.
That game is set to be preceded by the STATHS vs Manchester High as part of the doubleheader at the venue.
The other fixture on the day will see the impressive Mona High make their Champions Cup debut when they face current title holder Clarendon College (CC) in what is expected to be a thrilling clash at Sabina Park.
The winner of the Mona vs CC game will face the victor of the Manchester STATHS game in the Cup’s semi final.
The winner of the KC/ Central encounter is set to tackle the winner of the JC/Mannings fixture in the other semi-final bracket.
