Carnival in Jamaica 2023 is gearing up for a major return in April with a massive Easter weekend kick-off of highly anticipated events following the release of a calendar slated for the season.

The calendar of events that was released on Monday on SLEEK Jamaica’s social media pages, already includes a plethora of party favorites such as I Love Soca Jamaica, Sunrise Breakfast Party, Big Wall, Sandz Festival, and Festival of Floats (FOF) among several other major events.

The weekend of fete and festivities will also see the re-up of road revelry of Carnival in a major way with Yard Mass and Xaymaca teaming up to deliver high energy nonstop excitement for the road experience, along with Xodus Carnival and Bacchanal Jamaica also gearing to provide sweat-dropping energy themselves on the road on April 16.

The Easter weekend kick-off represents a full return with a vengeance by the local Carnival fraternity in Jamaica, following a parred downstaging in July 2022, after the incremental reopening of the entertainment industry in Jamaica following a two-year lockdown spell due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Xodus will be renewing its link with Bacchanal Jamaica while Xaymaca connects with Carnival in Jamaica’s newest entrant Yard Mas band for the April 16 road rave.

The excitement of the J’ouvert experience will not only be limited to ‘action on the asphalt’ but will also have vibes beside the tides, as the weekend also includes what’s expected to be a massive beach rage with Yard Mas and Xaymaca rejoining forces for Beach Fete on April 17.

With the collaboration of bands, carnival this year is expected to be among the most memorable experience yet, for participating revelers as well as spectators alike as the Jamaican entertainment space continues to show that ‘di vibes caa done’.
