Tuesday morning when police responded to a call about multiple shootings at 1: 30 am in Southeast Muskogee in Oklahoma, they were met by a suspect brandishing a weapon. After a shot from the police missed, the suspect escaped but was later captured. It turns out the person in custody is a relative of 6 persons who died as a result of the shooting incident.
Muskogee Police Chief Johnny Teehee told NBC News that,
“I can’t say how, but we believe the suspect in custody is related to the victims,”
On entering the residence police found four children and one adult dead.
“A fifth child later died after being life-flighted to a Tulsa hospital,”
police said in a statement.
“There was also one adult female with life-threatening injuries taken to a Tulsa hospital,”
according to the NBC report.
