Burgeoning dancehall star Najeeriii is staking his claim as one of the next major names in dancehall music after earning his second top-streamed song on YouTube.

Najeeriii’s track “Paddle Boat” which was released just over a week ago has amassed more than 800,000 streams to claim the status as the number #1 trending track on the platform locally.

The track is his second top-trending song in as many weeks, replacing his previous #1 streamed single –“Panton” which held the top spot throughout last week.

“Panton” which now sits at #2 on YouTube trending, has amassed over 1.2 million since its release two weeks prior which marks his growing penetration among the local listenership.

The back-to-back top trending singles forms part of a growing catalog by Najeeriii which has been finding favour among a vastly expanding fanbase over the last six months, with previous tracks such as “Sintrap” and “Goon” amassing over 3 million streams respectively.

That wave of looks is set to continue into the summer as his latest release-“Rich Filly” already broke into the top 20 most streamed songs in its first 21 hours.

Najeeriii’s influence is also being felt across platforms as both singles also dominate local streams on Apple Music.
