The promoters of the beach concert “Gospel Celebration” has announced that the show which was set for Friday (July 28) is postponed for reasons beyond their control. However, SLEEK has received word that full booking of artistes is the issue.
The event was to be held at the famous Sugarman Beach in Portmore and had advertised that Trinidadian gospel reggae singer Sherwin Gardner, and Pastor Derrick Haddon would go live with local gospel stars Kevin Downswell, Rhoda Isabella, Petra-Kaye and a few others.
It is organised by Charvette Distribution limited and New Vision Faith Apostolic ministries.
However, before the organizers announced the postponement, headliners Sherwin Gardner and Deitrick Haddon issued a joint statement saying the promoters “couldn’t fulfill their end of the arrangement to have them there.”
It says “Sherwin and Deitrick were truly looking forward to this event, and they are just as disappointed as you are that they can’t make it. But fear not, we’re
working tirelessly to ensure they can be there for future events!”
They thanked their fans for the support and noted that they will keep fans posted on any new developments.
Meanwhile, the promoters have indicated “The new date will be posted in short order” along with details for those who would have purchased tickets.
