The Director of the Meteorological Service of Jamaica, Evan Thompson has confirmed that the Caribbean may experience more tropical storms this hurricane season than initially anticipated earlier in the year.
His comment comes following the last update in June when his office noted that Jamaica is to expect more rainfall.
Jamaicans are being urged to continue to be prepared and be on alert for any abnormal weather activity.
The hurricane season officially began on June 1 and will end come November 30.
