Medical professional Dr. Jordanne Lauren Levy on Sunday night walked away with the Miss Universe Jamaica 2023 title held at the AC Hotel in St Andrew.

She won the competition from a challenging lot of 29 intelligent, bold, and beautiful ladies.

Dr. Levy easily moved to the crown from section to section – she propelled from the top 16 to the top 6 with Robyn Kiira Lloyd Miss Sofia’s Bayit, Ashlie Barrett Miss Sprint Financial Services, Deborah Gordon Miss Gustazos, Tyra Spaulding Miss Virtual Reality Jamaica and Gabrielle Henry Miss Maxie Department Store.

The ladies were asked to pick a Judge’s name from a bowl, where their intellect was on display.

It then went to the top three and the confident Dr. Levy, crowd favorite Deborah Gordon, and Robyn Kiira Lloyd were the ones selected.

The three were given headphones at an alternative time the headphones were removed and they were asked the same question “What makes you beautifully confident?”

The judges were then tasked with selecting the winners – a major task that had them retreat for a few minutes and Chief Judge Miqueal-Symone Williams was charged with the responsibility to announce the winner.

The second runner-up went to Deborah Gordon and that selection had many upset and even voiced their disappointment that had Miqueal-Symone placed a disclaimer that the position placements are based on the ‘Miss Universe Experience’ the weeks of training and interactions.

It was then time for the winner to be announced and Dr. Jordanne Lauren Levy took the title – an accomplished medical professional.

She is currently undertaking an internship at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Robyn Kiira Lloyd had to settle for first-runner and will fill in for Dr. Levy when needed.

The new queen will represent Jamaica at the upcoming 72ND Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador at the pageant venue Adolfo Pineda National Gymnasium (Gimnasio Nacional Adolfo Pineda) on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
