Double-Olympic Champion Elaine Thmpson-Herah continued her return form after logging a season-best to place third at the Zurich Diamond League on Thursday.
Thompson-Herah stopped the clock in 11.00s flat to finish behind race countrywoman Natasha Morrison(11.00), who was credited with the same time for second and winner Sha’Carri Richardson.
Richardson posted 10.88s for victory in her race since winning gold at the World Championships last week.
The race which was hyped as the clash of champions saw the Jamaican produce a composed run as she continued her gradual comeback a the taile end of the season.
Thomspson-Herah had previously shown a glimpse of a return after delivering a scorching 9.90s split on the second leg of the women’s 4x100m in the preliminary round of the championships.
The performance reflects a continued revival since her coach change just before her trip to Budapest.
The Olympic champ, who missed out on an individual spot in Jamaica’s team this year, will be aiming to build momentum going into next season ahead of her title defence in Paris in 2024.
