Leon Bailey scored his third goal in as many games for Aston Villa as they beat Hibernian 3-0 in the Europa Conference League qualifying second leg on Thursday.
Bailey, who scored in the opening leg of their 5-0 thrashing of the Scottish team, was again on target in the 34th minute to double Villa’s advantage after Jhon Duran opened the score in the 11th.
Bailey, who received a pass on the right edge of the area, showed creativity inside the box to cut back on his left foot before curling a shot past David Marshall in goal to make it 7-0 on aggregate.
Despite a more defensive profile by Hibernian, Villa was able to add another goal to their tally as Matty Cash scored.
The winger was quickest to a loose ball in the box after Marshall failed to gather a Bailey free kick moment before making it 3-0 after 61 minutes.
A combination of missed chances and defensive composure ensured the score remained unchanged after 90 minutes as Villa secured back-to-back wins over the Scotts.
The win seals their official qualification into the Conference League’s group stage.
