Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are again facing scrutiny around the originality of their music following questions about the similarities of their recent release “Bongos” to Lincoln 3 Dot’s “Bang.”

“Bongos,” which was premiered on Friday, quickly caught the attention of many, including Lincoln, for its striking resemblance in beat pattern to his 2021 track, including the very noticeable phrase “bang” within the instrumental.

The dembow, rap fuse track shares an almost identical intonation to the deejay’s original song on initial listening which caught the ears of many fans.

Lincoln took to Instagram to share his curiosity about the apparent similarity to his song.

His theory was seemingly shared by the majority of his followers, who also noted the observation.

While it remains unclear what action is being considered by Lincoln, some fans have voiced their own suggestions.

The deejay subsequently released a short clip to underscore his views regarding the tracks.

The controversy comes a week after the pair scored a victory in a copyright lawsuit after a court ruling dismissed claims that accused them of stealing the lyrics to “WAP” and “Thot Shit” from an earlier track called “Grab Em by the P—-.”

“Bongos” has racked up over 2.6 million streams in its first 17 hours.
