It was “check check boom” as the super energetic soca artiste Gamal Doyle, better known as Skinny Fabulous was the perfect performer to bring SOCA + Festival to a climax on Sunday morning.

Skinny was “B.A.D” (Beyond A Doubt) one of the best acts of the 12-hour festival.

The five-time Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Soca Monarch winner, had patrons ‘eating out’ of his hands for a second time as he did last year at the inaugural staging of the Soca Plus festival.

Skinny Fabulous took the stage minutes after 7 a.m. with a wet element of the show activated as he delivered a high-energy and acrobatic performance that pulled everyone together as if they were all a family.

His infectious personality kept patrons glued and entertained as they danced endlessly to several of his hits from “Up & Up”, “Come Home”, “Do What You Want”, and others. But it was his impersonation of Beenie Man that had fans wondering if he had invited the King of the Dancehall on stage.

A clear eruption it was as Skinny sounded exactly like Beenie, who is one of his favorite performers and dancehall act. You could see that inspiration in how he utilised the stage and even as he exited the stage to vibe with the crowd.

For patrons, he did not disappoint as just like last year, he left them wanting more.

Skinny Fabulous for many soca lovers is a favourite, especially for SOCA+ Festival and he is certified SLEEK!
