The “Dutty Money Riddim” by Super producer Rvssian has begun to verify its status as the next hit dancehall production as its first three releases surge among top trending songs on YouTube within days.
The production, which saw Rvssian revisit his iconic “Go-Go Club Riddim“ for the 2023 “re-up” in “Dutty Money Riddim, was officially premiered last week with songs from some of the new school front runners “Najeeriii,” “RajahWild,” “The 9ine” and “Malie Donn.”
Buoyed by the fanfare of the throwback sound of the 2010 hit production, all songs were immediately catapulted among top streamed songs starting with Najeeriii’s “Phat Phat.”
The track, which kicked off the “juggling,” had broken into the top ten trending releases following its premiere last Wednesday and has steadily climbed to #5 after five days with 535,000 streams.
It’s a similar story with “Muss Shot” by The 9ine featuring Malie Donn, with the single also cracking into the top ten, amassing upwards of 384,000 views after four days to be the eighth most listened track on the platform.
The success of the previous two releases had set the stage for RajahWild’s drop “Go-Go,” which immediately shot into the top 5 most viewed videos on its release Sunday before advancing to the #2 spot, racking more than 495,000 streams in its first 24-hours.
The craze over the production was further amplified as feedback swelled about which artistes should be featured on the rhythm following Rvssian’s post about the future drops.
Such has been the hype around the beat, some artistes have essentially auditioned themselves to be part of the project with freestyles of the materials on the “Go-Go Club”, seemingly prompting Rvssian to react about who would be legitimately part of his production.
