Shenseea continues to make a massive statement with her latest single, “Hit & Run,” featuring Masicka after the track officially crossed two million streams on YouTube within 48 hours to remain the top trending song on the island following its premiere on Friday.

The single which is her first official release of 2024, doubled its staggering one million streams gained in its first 18 hours.

It’s Shenseea’s first collaboration with Masicka, and sees the “Blessed” hitmaker reunite with Grammy-winning super-producer Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor for the dancehall project.

The two previously worked on her Myke Towers collaboration-“Infamous,” which formed part of the Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse movie soundtrack.

The 10-figure opening day for “Hit and Run” received commendations from fans online, with many also applauding the collaboration specifically.

The single also broke into the top two most downloaded songs in Reggae on iTunes, with the visual claiming the current top spot on the platform.

The feat continues the momentum of a solid 2023 by the Interscope-signed artiste, which saw her expand her impressive roster of major features to include New York MC Lola Brooke for their rap single “Beamer” and Chainsmokers for their EDM bop “My Bad.“
