The ladies are in for a sweet treat this summer as fast-rising singer,’ Nigel ‘Nigy Boy’ Hector has been booked for the greatest reggae show on earth, Reggae Sumfest.
The announcement was made by Sumfest executive producer, Joe Bogdanovich at a press conference held at the Sangster’s International Airport in St. James, on Thursday, February 15.
According to Bogdanovich, he met Nigy Boy in New York about a month ago and it was from that time he decided to book him for Sumfest.
He told the media “I know he is going to do well. Nigy Boy is truly from another universe.”
The visually impaired, artiste got his popularity in late 2023 after getting support for Dexta Daps but it was his song ‘Continent’ on Rvssian’s Dutty Money Riddim that pushed his talent to the eyes and ears of millions.
During the press conference, he made it known that it’s an “exhilarating feeling” being booked for Reggae Sumfest but says he is ready.
Reggae Sumfest is set for July 14 to 20 2024 and will also feature the International Souls icon Baby Face and reggae/dancehall icons Beres Hammond and Bounty Killer.
