If social media is anything to go by, fans got their monies worth following epic performances at the “450 Live in Kingston” concert at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on Saturday.
If there were doubts about the strength of his local fan base, Saturday’s event would have been a solid indicator of his current status as one of dancehall’s A-list stars.
The event, 450’s first headline show on the island, reflected his mass appeal and ever-expanding fanbase, with people also flying in to catch the show.
The young talent delivered a mature and engaging set which showed not only the range of his catalogue but also his stage presence and performance craft.
The reception matched the anticipation of his debut headline event. Patrons were hooked to every lyric and melody by the Tru Ambassador signed artiste.
Speaking with SLEEK Entertainment after his performance, 450, who has sold out venues in several countries, ranked the event top among his best shows thus far.
The “Gyal Thief” hitmaker also expressed pride in the reception from his local fan base.
Fellow Tru Ambassador-signed artiste Deno Crazy and Valdomore aka Ski Mask, also had the Ranny Williams crowd rocking with cameo performances.
Surprise performances from Aidonia, Vanessa Bling and Bayka raised excitement at the Ranny Williams venue.
Aidonia, who was introduced as the first guest, reeled off a string of classics and current bangers, in a hit-laced set which was ranked among the night’s top performances by patrons.
Bayka also delivered a compelling performance, during Aidonia’s set.
Vanessa Bling also had the crowd captivated with her catalogue in an engaging performance with a largely female audience, who made the most of a rare local performance by the “Independent Ladies” hitmaker.
“Girl Power” was also a solid theme during a provocative set by Ishawna, who brought out TikTok personality Debbie Burp to give a live performance of her viral remixes, much to the delight of fans.
Dancehall star Valiant was another surprise for fans who were hopeful of the singer’s appearance to perform his collaboration with 450. Their “Faith” was rewarded when the “diplomat” made their entrance.
The Sony UK-signed act delivered all the hits as fans struggled for composure, trying to get as close as possible to the Deejay while roaring approval of his song deliveries.
The performance and support of 450 Live in Kingston, which formed part of an ever-expanding tour itinerary, underscored his tag as one of Jamaica’s next major international dancehall stars.
