Former Manchester United assistant coach Steve McClaren has been appointed as head coach of the Reggae Boyz.
The Jamaica Football Federation(JFF) confirmed McClaren’s appointment via social media on Wednesday.
It’s understood that McClarren, who held a management role at Man U recently as 2022 has signed on for two years with the ultimate goal of steering the Jamaican National team to 2026 World Cup qualification.
He replaces the former head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson, who resigned immediately following the Boyz exit from the Copa America in June.
