US basketball superstar Kevin Durant will be leaving France with more than a gold medal following news that he’s set to become a minority stakeholder in French Ligue 1 football giants Paris Saint Germain(PSG).

News of Durrant’s part ownership of the club was disclosed on Monday by noted football Journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The revelation comes weeks after the Phoenix Suns guard visited the club’s training facilities and met with players ahead of team USA’s basketball fixtures in Paris at the Olympics.

The deal would make it the second football club Durrant has acquired a stake, following his 5% hold in Major League Soccer MLS team, Philadelphia Union in 2020.

The Union is home to Reggae Boyz Captain, goalkeeper- Andre Blake and Vice Captain, defender Damion Lowe.

Durant earned his fourth Olympic gold medal after helping Team USA to their eighth straight title where he also became their highest-ever points scorer in games history with 518 points.
