It continues to be a “Beautiful day” for Jamaican Gospel star Jermaine Edwards following the official music video premiere of Akon‘s latest release of the same name, which samples his 2014 hit “Beautiful Day.”

The video, which premiered on Friday, has already racked up more than 400,000 streams in its first 24 hours as fans continue to gravitate to the refreshing motivational message of gratitude by Akon, which is said to be a lead single for an upcoming project.

The single also uses an interpolation from young singer Rushawn Ewears, who became an international sensation after an old clip of the then-10-year-old singing Edwards’ song went viral online.

In addition to the “Beautiful Day”‘s resurge in popularity, Eawars’ version has been remixed several times and used on major international projects, with Akon being the latest global star to apply Gospel track to his content.
