Jamaican and global sprint icon Yohan Blake continues to gain recognition for his contribution on and off the track as he is set to be added to the Ark of the City of Wall of Fame in Miami on Saturday.
Blake, who will be honoured along with rap star Fat Joe, shared the news of the upcoming induction with his followers via social media on Monday.
The Wall Of Fame recognition is the latest honour Blake has received from the US city in months after being awarded the “Keys to the Region” in Florida in October.
Blake, who recently announced a takeover of the popular Florida-based restaurant “The Butcher’s Barrell”, is the second fastest man over both 100 and 200m with blistering PRs of 9.69s and 19.26s, respectively.
In addition to possessing Olympic silver medals over both distances, he remains the youngest-ever World Champion in the Men’s 100m. claiming the title at 21.
