R&B songstress Sza will join rap star Kendrick Lamar as a part of his highly anticipated Super Bowl halftime show set in Louisiana on February 9.

The singer was officially announced as Lamar’s guest performer by halftime show sponsor Apple Music via a joint Social post on Thursday.

The reveal, while exciting, may be among the most unsurprising guest appearances for the show, with the announcement confirming the high general expectations that the “Snooze” hitmaker was a strong candidate to join her Top Dog Entertainment (TDE) label mate in his shining moment.

The two, of course, share a handful of features, including chart-topping Luther and their Grammy and Golden Global nominated single “All The Stars”.

Lamar’s performance has been marred with controversy since its announcement, with several persons debating whether it should have gone to hometown legend Lil Wayne.

The performance itself has developed keen interest among rap neutrals and biased fans alike, as far his Drake beef is concerned, with many early pondering when, how, and how often he will pull out his iconic Diss TrackNot Like Us“.

Following his widely declared win, Lamar infamously performed his victory song five times at his LA pop-out show as a marker to underline the song’s immense popularity and perhaps as an added insult to Drizzy.
