A Japanese Tech company is going viral for offering employees free drinks on the job and hangover leave days, among benefits, to attract bright prospective workers.
According to reports, a small tech company known as Trust Ring Co, has adopted this unconventional incentive to compete with the more attractive salary packages of other companies more established companies.
Unable to pay staff much more than the minimum wage, employees at Trust Ring Co are even encouraged to help themselves to the draught beer machine or a selection of spirits to drink on the job in their Midoribashi offices, The Daily Mail reports.

The company’s CEO noted that since they had to devise a way to attract fresh grads knowing they couldn’t match the pay of bigger corporations.
“Our salary is set just over minimum wage and we can’t use a lot of money, so they’re free to do what they want,‘ he told Kansai TV. “We’ve had no turnover in the last three years and our performance has been good. I think it’s a good idea to have a more enjoyable working environment.“
The CEO also encouraged other smaller companies to adopt similar means to attract prospective talent to its company.
“We really can’t raise the starting salary, so I think that small and medium-sized enterprises should focus on attracting talent with similar ideas.”
