Vybz Kartel’s long-awaited return to a US stage is nearing its end as the Dancehall World Boss is set to perform as a headline act for Reggae Fest at the Barclays Centre, Brooklyn, New York on April 11.

Kartel’s upcoming performance dubbed the “Return of the ‘Worl Boss'” was confirmed by the event’s social media on Friday.

Barring any future announced shows with earlier dates, it will mark the Kartel’s first time performing in the US in over 20 years. The announcement is the second major confirmation outside of the Caribbean in weeks following his Wireless Fest Co-headliner announcement earlier this month.

The Grammy-winning act who made his official return to the US in February to attend his Awards ceremony in Los Angeles as a nominee before his trip to the UK to collect his MOBO Impact Award has remained one of the most in demand stars since his release last year.
