With the challenges of overcoming everyday life, the legendary Nadine Sutherland has released her first song for 2023, titled ‘Triumphant’ shining light on overcoming mental health.

Throughout the song, Sutherland sings that “We Big! Bold and Boasey!” a motto many Jamaicans and non-Jamaicans use from time to time, to keep them going.

We caught up with the songbird who told us all about the song….

The song highlights the challenges mental health brings from that inside voice of doubt and fears, money worries, and suicidal thoughts.

Triumphant encourages its listeners to think positively and enjoy life no matter what as “we only live once.”

Sutherland says it is okay and good to share our thoughts and feelings so as to get help and support.

The reggae royalty also encourages all to never give up and to always make an effort to try.

Triumphant was released last Friday, June 2.
