Famed British singer Adele, says she plans on taking a step back from music temporarily.
The singer confirmed the news with German public service television broadcaster ZDF based in Mainz, Germany. She indicated that the hiatus will begin following the wrap-up of her Las Vegas residency in November.
Adele also underscored that she wont be releasing a new album anytime soon as she intends to take a “big break” to explore other creative outlets.
“I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,” Adele said. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”
The exact length of her hiatus is unknown at this time.
Adele has been performing in Las Vegas since last year November with a final show scheduled for November 23, 2024.
Earlier this year, the “Hello” singer hinted during one of her residency shows, that she doesn’t anticipate writing an album “for quite some time”.
