Alleged abuser stabbed to death in Waterford

A jockey who is accused of constant physical abuse was stabbed to death by his ex-lover on Wednesday during a dispute in Waterford, Portmore.

Dead is 36-year-old Marvin “Spread Out” Watson of a Caymanas Drive, Waterford address.

Reports are that about 8:20 pm Wednesday, Watson confiscated the cell phone of the 26-year-old woman after she received a call in his presence.

Watson allegedly slammed the phone in a wall and stepped on it.

A knife was also brought into play alleged by the now deceased.

Reports from his family, an aunt who witnessed the attack, stated that the woman who is also the mother of Watson’s three-year-old daughter, also armed her self with a kitchen knife.

Sleek Jamaica Media understands that Watson menacingly approached the woman with a knife and was stabbed in his neck.

He fell to the ground and died.

The woman was arrested and remains in custody.

A relative of Watson who is close to the situation told Sleek Jamaica Media that the deceased man has long desired sex from the woman, however, their union had ended because of constant abuse.

The St Catherine South CIB is investigating.
