An American fugitive who is wanted in the State of New York, USA was apprehended during a predawn operation which was carried out by the members of the Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team (JFAT) and the CTOC special ops in the Greenvale district in Manchester yesterday.
He is 18-year-old Matthew Pinnock. The accused is wanted on a provisional warrant of arrest under the Extradition Act for various offenses.
This includes attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, and other charges.
Police reports indicate that a team went on the premises in the Manchester Community where Pinnock was found hiding.
The suspect was subsequently detained and transported to Kingston where he will remain in custody until his November 25th court date.
