Reggae Boyz Captain Andre Blake continues to etch his name further in the history books of Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise Philadelphia Union, after earning the most starts ever in club history.

Blake, who is also the captain of the team, earned a club-record 212th start during their 4-2 win over Toronto FC on Saturday.

The Union toasted their number-one shot-stopper on the feat via social on Saturday.

The Jamaican has been at the club since his 2014 super draft pick.

The three-time keeper of the Year previously earned the 2022 John Wanamaker Athletic Award for doing “the most to reflect credit upon Philadelphia and the team or sport in which they excel.”

“I am grateful to be recognized by the Philadelphia sports community and honored to accept the Wanamaker Award on behalf of my family, teammates, and the entire Philadelphia Union organization,” said Blake after receiving the award.

Blake’s effort also helped the Union to its first-ever MLS Cup finals last season.

He was also among the six shortlisted for the 2022 CONCACAF male player of the year award.

The Philadelphia Union currently sits at seventh in the league on 11 points after nine games.
