The local entertainment community has been sent into a state of shock and mourning following news of the passing of famed Disc Jock and producer Arif “Supa Coop” Copper on Sunday morning.

It’s understood that Cooper collapsed while playing at an event in the corporate area on Sunday, before being rushed to the hospital where he was reportedly later pronounced dead.

The cause of death has to be disclosed.

 Arif who’s the son of ‘Ibo’ Cooper founder legendary reggae band Third World founder, also made a name for himself in the entertainment industry.

Not only was he among the most respected DJ personality on the radio but, also a producer.

He had several hit projects over the years under his music label-Fresh ear productions. Some of his most notable productions include Relationship Riddim, and Guardian Angel Riddims on the reggae side.

While contributions the dancehall arena include Success and Strive riddim, Win Riddim, and, Up and Live riddim.
