Rap superstar Nicki Minaj has added her voice, growing discontent among Tinidadians toward the Dancehall star Beenie Man following his disparaging remarks about not eating “doubles.”

Minaj, who was born in Trinidad, shared her views on the topic by sharing a TikTok video of a man chasting the “Old Dawg ” singer in her IG stories with the caption-“Hold This One Beenie Man”.

Beenie has been under fire from several people online following his Drinks Champs interview, where he noted he doesn’t eat the snack because the dogs he fed it to refused to eat it.

Minaj is the latest high-profile star from the neighbouring Twin Island state to react toward Beenie’s less-than-positive views on the popular local street food.

On Wednesday, Soca music icon Machel Montano also took a slight jab after posting a satirical video of himself sharing Doubles on the Street to a remixed version of his latest hit “Pardy”- with lyrics added to Doubles Pardy.
