Reports are suggesting that beloved Golden Girl actress Betty White has died at the age of 99, just weeks before her centennial birthday.

According to American media outlet, TMZ, the American idol passed away at her home this morning.

Prior to her death, White had the longest-running career as a female in TV – having starred in multiple shows over the past eight decades, starting in 1939.

White is perhaps most famous for her lead role as Rose Nylund in ‘The Golden Girls’, which ran from 1985 to 1992.

In her decades in American entertainment, White won eight Emmy Awards, three American Comedy Awards, and a Grammy.
