Bob Marley & The Wailers’ iconic hit “Three Little Birds,” is officially 3x platinum in the UK for the equivalent of 1.8,000,000 units sold in the territory.

The British Phonographic Institute (BPI), confirmed the single platinum mark on Friday.

The track which has become a global classic is Marley’s third successive certification in as many weeks in the UK following the successes of “Satisfy My Soul” (silver-200,000), Stir it Up(Gold-400,00) and the double platinum(1.2 million) feat of “Is This Love.”

It also makes it the fourth plaque of the year for the legendary singer, proving his music remains a potent and current staple across generations even posthumously.
