An age old feud between two of dancehall’s most iconic acts Bounty Killer and Beenie Man was seemingly averted from being rehashed all over again following what seemed to be an almost comical reason for the pause in the truce between the artistes.

Despite an impressive joint tributary performance to legendary producer Dave Kelly by the two icons there seemed to be some serious tension brewing beyond the scenes as both artists were apparently at a standoff over hailing’s.

Tensions unknown to the public came to a boil and fully exposed following an exchange of words on Tuesday where both seemingly took offense by not one being acknowledging the other ahead of their planned performance.

“Oh good so you did it on purpose I’m glad to know that well let me tell you this now we aren’t no friends anymore from today on stay far from me” Killer commented to a post by Beenie.

“bcuz I didn’t know that we was a duo so if I had walked off stage it took away from your shine did you mentioned that you wanted us to perform together b4 did you even acknowledge me inthe venue” he added.

“ did I know ntn about what you had intended to do no you then came to the Porus the Sunday I was there b4 and you came saw me and what you did hold your head and walked passed me did you hailed me no so who the f… you think you be that me gonna hail you so then at the rehearsal what did u expected me to hail you either you feeling yourself i see so unity done anything a anything yu bad beenie” Bounty concluded.

The response was for comments Beenie made suggesting that the negative vibes came from the other side

“Mi link PRIVATELY and asked if there was a problem. Yuh claim there was no issue at @harrytoddlerrulaboss74 party. Mi move passed that.”

Beenie stated “Yuh invite me to your charity event, mi reach yuh Nuh acknowledged mi, Nuh hailings, Nuh knowings, Nuh thanks, Nuh ntn. I moved passed that.

Yuh claim I should have hailed you first, cause you were at the venue

first. Bredda, it’s your event yuh ago deh deh first. Ah you invite mi!

Anyway we moved passed that, we deh Sumfest rehearsal same bad

vibes. If everything was good why would you need to be pushing that

vibes at the rehearsal? It Nuh mek sense bredda.” He remonstrated

“Then on stage now yuh a give me high five when leading up to the

event yuh ah push negative energy towards me, yuh really expect me

fi high five? That’s why mi sehh mi nuh trust yuh @grunggaadzilla

Plus if there was really no issue why would you not hail me but hail

and interacted with everyone else? Flip Flop weird behavior that. Mi

nuh trust it. Beenie closed.

The war of words which ironically was started from what was not said, to each other and threated to suspend their friendship drew several calls from some commentors to move pass the disagreement and seeming misunderstanding.

While other found the humorous side of things.

Those fears of a rehashed beef seemed to have cooked and served humor on the side as the two showed quite the opposite preforming together at a show later evening.

The unity between two so soon after what seemed to a bitter exchange just a few hours prior had many split in thought; wondering if it was a publicity stunt or genuine quashing of egos.

Either way the collective consensus was of applause in the unity.

A sentient which was echoed by Rodney himself

“Oops thought I told y’all It was maturity and growth doing it now sorry for all who was looking for that negativity Iconic Legends at their best the club was sold tonight” which he captioned the video of them performing.
