Brianna Lyston signs for NCAA giant LSU

Jamaican teen sprint sensation Brianna Lyston looks set to line up in the US NCAA next season after reportedly committing to US Collegiate giant Louisiana State University (LSU) this week.

 According to reports Lyston, signed on with the NCAA juggernauts on Thursday and is expected to light up the US collegiate in the 2022/23 track season.

The champs standout has an impressive personal bests this season of 11.14 in the 100m to go along with her 22.53 seconds PB in the 200m which was set in the finals of the ISSA Boys and Girls Championships on April 9.

Lyston was also part of the Jamaican Under-20 powerhouse quarter , to win gold in a would be age group world win the 4x100m relay with a new Under-20 World Record of 42.58 seconds at the 49th Carifta Games at the National Stadium in Kingston in April.

A win which also included Edwin Allen trio Serena Cole, Tia and Tina Clayton on that super team.

She also ran 23.16 to win gold at the 49th Carifta Games at the National Stadium in Kingston on April 18. The 18-year-old will be hoping to join the ranks of Trinidadian 2011 World Championships 100m bronze medalist Kelly-Ann Baptiste Jamaican 400m hurdler Nickiesha Wilson as well as Jamaican Olympic and World Championship 800m finalist Natoya Goule, as world class.
