Reggae superstar Buju Banton added another accolade to his catalogue after being named Best Reggae/ Dancehall Artiste at the Africa Entertainment Awards (AEA) USA.

The Awards, which took place in New Jersey on Sunday, saw Banton emerge top among strong contenders in the category, including dancehall giants Shenseea, Masicka, Skillibeng, Popcaan and Spice.

The win underlines a continued breakthrough year for the Grammy-winning singer, who has had successful North American tour dates following the official reinstatement of his US and Canadian visas and work permits after 15 years.
